Bidding during a Timed Online auction

These auctions don't have an auctioneer calling the bids. This auction is completely online and works with a so-called Timed-Online auction system. The auction will run for a few weeks and will end at the indicated time. All lots are shown during our viewing days at our location and in our online catalogue, along with images, estimates and starting prices.

Fill in the most you're willing to bid - and we'll bid intelligently for you, only bidding for you to meet the reserve or stay in the lead. Don't worry, your max bid stays secret and even the auctioneer can't see your maximum.

After creating an account, you can bid on the items until the indicated ending time. When someone places a bid in the last 5 minutes, the auction time will automatically be extended by 5 minutes. This way, other interested bidders have enough time to place a higher bid.

For this auction, it is not possible to bid in person in the saleroom. To bid using our website, you need to be a registered with us. (New registrations are processed and approved multiple times per hour and are possible up until one hour before the auction closes)

Every entered bid will be treated as an automatic bid, the computer will bid for you in increments of €5,- until your personal maximum bid has been reached. If somebody places a higher bid than your maximum bid, you will receive an email notification.

When someone places a bid in the last 5 minutes before the closing time of the item, the auction time will automatically be extended by 5 minutes. This way, other interested bidders have enough time to place a higher bid.

The best way to track your personal bids is to go the page My Catalogue > My Timed-Online Bids

All bids are binding and cannot be cancelled or withdrawn.

To register, click the Register button.

Once we receive your fully filled out registration, we will email you a link to activate your account. (If you don’t receive an email, please check your spam or unwanted e-mails folder).

To complete your registration, click the link in the email (this link is active for 24 hours only).

You will receive an email from us when your registration has been accepted, now you are able to place your bid(s).

 

Frequently Asked Questions about registration/log in:

1.       I am already registered, but I do not remember my password, what do I do?

You can request a new password by clicking on ‘I forgot my password’

 

2.       I do not remember my log in information (email address), what do I do?

In this case, it is easiest to create a new account. We will make sure to link your new registration to your existing information in our system.

 

3.       I cannot register, and I received a notification that my email address is already in use.

This means your information is already familiar in our system, please click I forgot my password’ to create a password.

 

4.       While creating a new password I get the notification: ‘Invalid token’, what do I do?

You usually get this notification because the link you used to create a new password is expired, this happens after 24 hours. Please select ‘I forgot my password’ and use the most recent link we send by email to create a new password.

 

5.       I would like to change my information, how do I do this?

Please log in to your account and go to ‘My Catalogue’, here you can edit your information.

 

6.       I have registered myself but I am not able to bid, what do I do?

It is possible your registration has not been processed yet. New registrations are processed during office hours, at least twice an hour. Outside of office hours, this happens less frequently. Please be patient.

 

7.       I placed a bid, but my bid is not visible next to the lot I bid on.

You can check your bid(s) by going to ‘My Catalogue’ > ‘My Timed Online bids’. Every entered bid will be treated as an automatic bid, the computer will bid for you in increments of €5,- until your personal maximum bid has been reached.

 

8.       I received a notification ‘Invalid login’, what does this mean?

This means the combination of the email address and password are not correct. Please try again, or if you forgot you login details see FAQ’s no. 1 and 2.

 

Please note we do not automatically fill out passwords or email addresses. These are personal settings on the device you use. We advise you to clear the login fields and manually fill in your login information (without letting your device automatically fill it in for you).
